Movie Review: Heartthrobs in Hunger Games Trilogy Movies (2)

Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair

Did you notice Prince William in Snow White and The Huntsman? Or Philip Swift, a missionary in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides who saved the mermaid? Yes, that’s our Finnick Odair. Another British just make my day :).

Honestly i wasn’t followed his previous movies and his other two movies i watched before Hunger Games were just featured his small roles. Roles that people might forget. But being Finnick Odair totally gonna make him into fame. Some fans said that “I used to love Peeta but then Finnick came...” think i know what that means now.

In the contrary to Peeta, Finnick is so confident, charming, and genuine peacock but also with a good heart. Coming from District 4 with its marine resources, trident is his lethal weapon. Portrayed physically tall, athletic, blond, golden-skin, with sea-green eyes undoubtedly makes girls swoon. Dear Suzanne, why did you have to kill him in Mockingjay?

I’m waiting Sam’s next drama-romance movie with sweet Lily Collins called Love, Rosie again adapted from the book Where Rainbow Ends by Cecilia Ahern, who was famous with her other novel PS: I Love You. Check other Sam’s movies here. Well there’s a quote saying “I like my man like i like my tea, hot and British.” :p

Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne
I just can’t think Liam without associating him with Miley Cyrus. It’s impossible. They are so beautiful together in The Last Song movie from Nicholas Sparks book and its soundtrack I Look at You music clip sung by Miley.

Gale isn’t having quite many significant scenes in Hunger Games and Catching Fire but much in Katniss’ mind since they’re good hunters together way back home in District 12. But in Mockingjay, as Peeta’s part will be thinning out when the Capitol arrest him, Gale’s part will be growing as he will fight with Katniss together with District 13 team. So i expect more action from this Australian hunk in Mockingjay. For other Liam’s movies check this out.

Alexander Ludwig as Cato
Even though he’s antagonist still i can’t deny his fresh face as he portrayed Cato, the cruel tribute from District 2. Rumors said that he was auditioned for Peeta Mellark but lost to Josh Hutcherson. Apparently they both friends since they were kids with same co-star Dwayne Johnson and Anna Sophia Robb in different movies. Alex in Race to Witch Mountain while Josh in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Bridge to Terabithia.

Originally from Vancouver, Canada he worked out hard to change physically from skinny boy into sculpted athletic body which making him more impressive. Recently featured in Lone Survivor and Grown Ups 2 he looked so brutal and snob in Hunger Games which was perfect as Cato. Watch his interview here

Aside acting he’s also a musician who just released single called Liv It Up and other three singles coming up. See other Alex movies here. ***
